Organizations and members

An organization is your company or team on the Fourier Platform. It owns the projects, API keys, usage, and model access that its members share. Fourier Health creates the organization and invites its first administrators, who manage the membership from then on.

If you belong to more than one organization, switch between them from the account menu in the sidebar of the Fourier Platform console.

Every member has one of two roles, Member or Admin. The following table shows what each role can do:

Capability Member Admin
View the organization, its members, projects, API keys, and usage Yes Yes
Create API keys Yes Yes
Rename, revoke, and delete API keys Only keys they created Any key
Create, rename, archive, unarchive, and delete projects No Yes
Rename the organization No Yes
Invite members, resend invitations, change roles, and remove members No Yes

An organization must always have at least one administrator, so the console doesn’t let you demote or remove the last one.

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, and then click Organization settings.

  2. On the Members tab, click Invite member.

  3. In the Email field, enter the person’s email address.

  4. Optional: In the Name field, enter the person’s name.

  5. For Role, select Admin or Member. The default is Member.

  6. Click Send invite.

The console sends the invitation by email and also shows you the link so that you can share it directly. The member has the status Invited until they sign in for the first time. If the link expires or the email doesn’t arrive, open the member’s row menu and click Resend invite. Inviting an existing member fails with Already a member of this organization.

On the Members tab, use the role menu in the member’s row to switch between Admin and Member. The console doesn’t let you change your own role.

On the Members tab, open the member’s row menu, click Remove, and then confirm. The member loses access immediately, and the console revokes every API key they created in the organization. Before you remove a member, move production traffic to a key that someone else created.

There’s no leave action. To leave an organization, you delete your account, which removes you from every organization and revokes the keys you created. If you’re the only administrator of an organization, make someone else an administrator first.

To delete your account, follow these steps:

  1. In the account menu, click User settings.

  2. On the Account tab, click Delete account.
